Delkor Equipment Featured in the Wall Street Journal
By streamlining product offerings based on regional preferences, candy manufacturer, Haribo, has grown a family-owned company into one of the largest gummy candy businesses in the world. For example, US customers will notice more red bears in the mix than any other colors simply because US consumers prefer the raspberry flavor. Not only does this help boost sales by providing exactly what the consumer wants, it simplifies the number of recipes and ingredients needed.
Haribo leaders didn't just stop at streamlining recipes. They understand that "packaging also plays an important role", and kept that in mind as they designed their new Wisconsin factory. Working closely with equipment suppliers, including Delkor, Haribo built a state of the art, efficient facility that now produces 60 million Gold Bears per day.
