Delkor Debuts New Trayfecta® All Servo Tray and Carton Former

Trayfecta S series Carton and Tray formerFor over 35 years Delkor has been consistently developing some of the best tray and carton forming machines on the market. At this years’ Worldwide Food Expo we will debut our newest innovation – the Delkor Trayfecta® S series Tray and Carton Former.

This all-servo design offers enhanced speed and flexibility coupled with a new low-level carton magazine for ergonomic loading. As with our entire line of Trayfecta formers, it is designed for forming either
corrugated trays or paperboard cartons.

The new Trayfecta S Series Carton Forming Machine uses advanced servomotor drive control of all critical machine motions, allowing the unit to operate at higher throughput speeds and with greater efficiencies than mechanical-drive systems. The S Series also incorporates enhanced ergonomics, such as waist high carton blank magazines, for easier material replenishment. The new system is available in single and multi-head configurations, continuing the Delkor tradition of safe, reliable and profitable performance.

Delkor Expands Robotics Program

Robotic Systems

Delkor recently enhanced its robotic offering by adding KUKA to its current FANUC robotic product line. According to Dale Andersen, president of Delkor, “From a customer perspective, we are confident that whatever the application, the range of robotic solutions offered by these two world leaders will address our customer’s needs. Over the years Delkor has continued to invest in developing our robotics capabilities. Today, I am pleased to say we have over 30 employees that are graduates of a two-year robotics program or industry equivalent.”

New Vision Inspection System Verifies Package Integrity and Retains Defective ItemsVision Inspection System

In 2008 Delkor asked a variety of its dairy company customers to define what they would like to see in a vision inspection system that was focused on container integrity. This study revealed the following customer preferences:

  • Ability to inspect containers with foil, paper or plastic lids.
  • Ability to reject product at speeds up to 500 containers per minute without damaging the rejected container.
  • Integrated HMI to inform line operator of maintenance personnel why a container was rejected, plus other operating parameters.
  • Compact system with easy linkage to existing line.

The Delkor Vision System was designed with all of these characteristics in mind. To see both the System and a video presentation of a cultured dairy plant using this unit, please stop by booth # S-4519 during Worlwide Food Expo 2009.
