Spot-Pak®

The patented Delkor Spot-Pak® Flat Tray Pack offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional corrugated RSC cases and sidewall trays. It uses a temporary bonding adhesive to hold products on flat, corrugated trays. The adhesive bond is temporary, but it holds the packages or products to the flat corrugated pad while they move down the conveyor. It even allows two layers of products to be stacked together. The trays are then bundled in polyethylene shrink film to eliminate instability during shipping. Spot-Pak simplifies plant operations by alleviating the need to erect boxes or form sidewall trays.

When compared to traditional forms of secondary packaging, the Delkor Spot-Pak® Flat Tray Pack provides: up to 65% less dry storage space for packaging material inventory up to 86% reduction in corrugated material costs up to 15% better cube utilization for pallets of finished product up to 10% less Green House Gas (GHG) emissions to produce and transport finished products

Spot-Pak® technology received a Sustainable Packaging Leadership Award from the Packaging Association of Canada (PAC) because it reduces the volume of secondary packaging materials, creating demonstrable savings in transportation, cradle-to-grave energy costs and CO² emissions.

At the retail level, Spot-Pak reduces labor costs for in-store stocking and minimizes scrap disposal issues. The easy-to-handle and easy-to-open container simplifies shelf stocking to boost in-store efficiencies.
