Delkor Introduces Trayfecta® R Series Retail Ready Tray Former
MINNEAPOLIS MN - Delkor Systems, innovation leader for end-of-line packaging systems, introduces a custom engineered Top Load Cartoning System for yogurt tubes, which exemplifies the company’s ability to synchronize all phases of carton forming, loading, and closing across a broad range of dairy applications for flexible tubes, sachets, stick packs, and other package styles. The demonstration line is on display in Booth #907 during the International Dairy Show (September 13-15) in the Dallas, TX Convention Center.
The Cartoning Systems includes a Trayfecta S Series Carton Former, a Customized Top Load System for Cartons, and the Delkor Capstone Tri Seal Carton Closer with innovative Intelligent Positioning™ technology.
During Delkor’s in-booth demonstration, the Trayfecta Carton Former feeds unsealed three-flap cartons into a Customized Top Loading system which top-loads VFFS yogurt tubes into each carton. A continuous-motion flighted conveyor transports tubes into a loading position over the infeed conveyor, then inserts six tubes into each empty carton. A patent-pending servo-driven gate prevents misfeeds when a carton is not in position to receive tubes. Nominal system throughput, based on actual field experience, ranges from 330 to 650 products per minute into cartons or vacuum packs. The Delkor Capstone Tri Seal Carton Closer comprises the third leg of the synchronized Top Load Cartoning Line demonstration. This advanced Carton Closer is the first in the world to offer Intelligent Positioning™ technology as a solution for sealing nearly-perfect squared-off cartons each and every time at production speeds up to 150 cartons per minute.
